13:49:12 <bay|NYAF|StarDriver> A: Well, the director of this, 3 years ago, they worked on a title called Ouran High school host club, and it's over now, but while it was going on, but I had the idea, if these two get together and make a show, we would get something strange and interesting, and thus we got a high school robot anime

14:01:07 <bay|NYAF|StarDriver> A: So the person who did the designs for the mecha, he also does work for Gainax, and the two shows you reference are both from Gainax, so it is possible that working with those people, he was influenced
